Regents House on Upper Street identified as new location of the Cannonbury Business Centre.

Regents House, located at 40 – 42 Islington High Street sits right in the heart of The Angel, directly above Angel Underground Station, with a long frontage towards Upper Street and a prominent town centre location, it’s a building that many people in the area will recognise.

Regents House occupies a highly visible gateway site in The Angel. It sits within the busy Angel and Upper Street town centre, an area known for its mix of shops, restaurants, offices, and cultural venues.

Built in the mid 1980s as a large commercial office building, Regents House covers around 227,000 square foot across three basement levels, the ground floor, and six upper floors. While it has had some internal upgrades over the years, it has been mostly vacant in recent times and is now set to be refurbished and repurposed as the Cannonbury Business Centre.

The proposed Cannonbury Business Centre will be operated by The British Library and contain libraries of business books for study and learning, lecture rooms where professional business people can give lessons to budding entrepreneurs. Business experts will be invited to speak to members of the centre in the main lecture theatre, there will also be classes on intellectual property, finance, business, marketing, public relations, organisation, scaling a business and a start - up fund where members can apply for a grant to start or scale their business.
