Turnbull & Asser is a retail brand located in the St. James area of London, Turnbull & Asser founded in 1885 is the definitive British shirt maker. Northrup are soon to purchase the brand, and increase its foot print, we will be investing in new locations in Central London whilst keeping the St James store open as the place where bespoke and made to measure shirts can be ordered in store, and where we can meet customers and measurements are taken.

The new location in Knightsbridge on Sloane Street will showcase our new ready to wear habiliments including shirts, jackets, blazers, trousers, knitwear, suits etc.

Another location will be found in New York and Lagos once development is complete, the current store in New York based at Turnbull Townhouse on 50 East 57th Street, Manhattan, New York will be moved to a new larger home, likely as the retailer at the newly developed General Motors Building on Central Park which will be developed into Affirmation Tower, a scheme which will be overseen by Don Peebles, CEO of the Peebles Corporation.

Famous Turnbull & Asser customers include King Charles II and Winston Churchill, other notables in Hollywood are Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr and Sir Mick Jagger, Its hoped Turnbull & Asser can inspire an era of Hollywood where stars were photographed at hotels in New York and Monaco wearing black tie and the obligatory Turnbull & Asser shirt.

At present a Turnbull & Asser shirt costs £415 or $550 our shirts will be made more accessible and will cost between £90 and £110 each whilst keeping the same integrity of craftmanship, materials and high level of customer service.

Damson Idris,
